Westflight - Powering Change

Westflight Ltd originated 1886 when it was founded as Roper and Wreaks Ltd, a general engineering company in Sheffield, England.

The present owner purchased Roper and Wreaks Ltd in 1986 and reorganised it into a successful automotive component parts manufacturing company. Today our engineering division manufacture a wide range of specialist parts from stainless steel roof brackets for the solar PV industry to solar powered water bowsers for remote livestock watering.

In 2001 an Aviation division was added specialising in the provision of high quality Professional Pilot Training. When you are next flying with a commercial airline your Captain or First Officer may be a Westflight graduate.

In 2008 our flock of MV Accredited pedigree Lleyn sheep was founded with stock from some of the most respected Lleyn breeders in the UK. In 2013 we will again be offering a small number of excellent yearling ewes and rams for sale either through the Lleyn Society sales or privately.

In 2010 an Energy division was added specialising in Renewable Energy solutions for Farmers and Landowners. Our Solar PV installations on poultry units, livestock sheds, potato and grain stores and as ground mounts have enabled farmers all over Wales and the Midlands to benefit from the Feed In Tariff whilst at the same time reducing their electricity costs.

Many of our Solar PV clients have asked us to help them improve security around their farms to both reduce the cost and inconvenience of theft and additionally reduce insurance premiums.
Our Security division now offers a wide range of low cost but very effective products from vehicle trackers to remote GSM alarm systems and CCTV.
