Elan Village is a very popular with tourists who come to see the beautiful houses and the model village designed by Herbert Tudor Buckland for Birmingham Corporation to house the workers employed on the reservoir construction and built between 1892 and 1904.
Also in Elan Village is a small Public Toilet block built in a similar style to the houses. The Elan Valley Trust were re-furbishing and upgrading the public toilets and decided they would like them solar powered.
When you visit the Elan Village public convenience you can now see what you are doing and then dry your hands courtesy of Westflight solar power. (unless the sun isn’t shining of course, but battery power might be next)
